In her freshman season at Ole Miss, Denton averaged 14.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. She was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and was also named the SEC Freshman of the Year.

Denton's senior season was cut short by a knee injury, but she still managed to average 17.5 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. She was named to the All-SEC First Team for the fourth consecutive season and was also named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year.
