Alejandro Lichauco was a prominent Filipino businessman and politician who played a significant role in Philippine history. He was born in 1865 to a wealthy family in Manila. Corruption in the Philippine Government

Corruption was rampant in the Philippine government during the early 1900s. Lichauco was outspoken in his criticism of corruption, and he accused several high-ranking officials of taking bribes.
