The Eagles of Rome were a professional wrestling stable in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1996 to 2001. The stable was led by Arn Anderson and featured members such as Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Ric Flair, and Lex Luger. The Eagles were one of the most dominant factions in WCW history, and they were responsible for some of the promotion's most memorable moments.
The Eagles of Rome were formed in 1996 when Arn Anderson, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall turned on Hulk Hogan and formed the New World Order (nWo). The nWo was a group of disaffected WCW wrestlers who were tired of Hogan's dominant reign atop the promotion. The nWo quickly became one of the most popular factions in WCW, and they were responsible for some of the promotion's most successful pay-per-view events.
In 1998, the nWo split into two factions: the Wolfpac and the Hollywood Hogan led nWo. The Wolfpac was led by Kevin Nash and featured members such as Sting, Rick Steiner, and Diamond Dallas Page. The Hollywood Hogan led nWo featured members such as Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Eric Bischoff. The two factions feuded with each other for several months, and the Wolfpac eventually emerged as the victors.
In 1999, the Eagles of Rome were reunited when Arn Anderson, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall returned to WCW and aligned themselves with Ric Flair and Lex Luger. The Eagles were once again a dominant force in WCW, and they were responsible for some of the promotion's most memorable moments. However, the Eagles would eventually break up in 2001 when Kevin Nash and Scott Hall left WCW to join the WWF.
