Passage from England to Quebec
Turnbull's first passage began in England in May 1805. He sailed to Quebec, Canada, arriving in July. During his voyage, he encountered a number of icebergs, which he describes in detail. He also provides an account of the wildlife he saw, including whales, seals, and seabirds.
